Above-ground pools are best installed on flat, stabilized ground. Avoid sloping, sandy or rocky sites. If necessary, use a sand bed or slab to even out the surface before installation. If the ground is uneven, place a thick protective tarpaulin under the pool to limit the risk of damage.
